Sulfuric acid is one of the electrolytes that presents a greater corrosion rate, although its corrosion mechanism in 17-4 PH and 17-7 PH stainless steel is not pitting corrosion. However, 17-7 PH stainless steel has a lower corrosion rate in this electrolyte.

Both techniques give coherent results for electrochemical parameters.
